Our CHS January Student of the Month is Veronica Carter!
Veronica Carter is a senior and her favorite subject is Strength and Conditioning. She enjoys hanging out with her friends, basketball, and softball. She has received the honors and awards of Honor Roll, Academic All-Conference, and Cumulative Honors. Veronica’s future plans are to attend Indiana University for 4 years and she will be majoring in exercise science and physical therapy.
Veronica has a tremendous amount of support from her teachers!
Mr. Lotz has said, “Veronica’s always a pacesetter for the rest of her classmates. She is the definition of “put your head down and work.” Veronica is an awesome student to have in class.”
Mrs. Meluch also has said, “Veronica is an excellent student and one of the most determined people that I know. Veronica is always thinking. In Biology II, she was able to add her own insights and critiques into any discussion. She was a joy to have in class and will be well prepared for whatever her future holds.”
Ms. Grimes had this to say about Veronica. “Veronica has a very easy-going personality, but she is passionate about basketball and also about getting her education. She’s a hard worker with a good attitude. She also has taken on many leadership roles in our school. It’s important that we recognize the students who make a difference. Veronica is definitely one of them.”
Mr. Rady congratulates Veronica on being named student of the month for January! He says, “I have had the privilege of having Veronica as a student twice. Veronica is goal-oriented and takes her classwork very seriously. I have witnessed Veronica become one of the leaders of the girl’s basketball team. Not only is Veronica one of the best basketball players in the county, but she also has the work ethic to match her talents! Veronica has expressed that she wants to stay connected with the sports world and would like that to be in the sports athletic training field. With her commitment to be the best she can be, I think Veronica will have a stellar career in the sports medicine field. Once again, Congratulations Veronica!”
Congrats Veronica!
